Wild Yonder is a first-person adventure combining exploration, story and puzzle-solving, set against the backdrop of a rich and detailed world long since fallen into ruin. Sail the seas, uncover the mystery. Seek your fortune.

Man's reach beyond the stars has left our world in ruins. Oceans have consumed the planet. And humanity has all but abandoned Earth, leaving behind a post-dystopian wilderness of drifting scavengers and decaying robots.

You are Brody - a down on her luck starship pilot exiled in disgrace. All you have are a string of bad debts and a bounty on your head. Things change, however, when you team up with the curmudgeonly Colt Bukowski, captain of Ol' Sally, and together embark on an adventure that will change both your fortunes.

Brody

Brody is a former starship pilot. Exiled to Earth with a bounty on her head, she joins Colt aboard Ol’ Sally, embarking on a quest for sunken silver as a means to buy her freedom.

Role: Player Character

Colt

Colt is the captain of Ol’ Sally; a decommissioned starship converted into a seagoing vessel. Confined to his workshop below deck, he offers Brody a cut for helping retrieve the same fabled silver his own missing father sought many years ago.

Sea Exploration

Piloting Ol' Sally, players can travel freely between islands, exploring the ship's lower decks where Brody and colt live, and salvage parts for the ship's upgradable weapons system to make easy work of obstructions on both land and sea; opening up pathways to new locations and hidden secrets.

Land Exploration

Brody can walk, run, climb and use her grappling hook to explore islands, abandoned pirate strongholds, cave systems and other locations; interacting with objects, items, NPCs, and many strange and wonderful things players may discover in this world.

Environmental Puzzels

Using Brody’s upgradable grappling hook mechanics, players can access routes and pull heavy obstructions to open-up levels Metroidvania-style. Meanwhile, puzzle-switches that operate mechanisms must be solved to unlock doors, walkways and various other structures.

Non-combative enemy puzzles

Brody isn't armed, so players will need to combine her move-sets and tools in order to distract, avoid, or dispose of antagonistic robots and other non-combative enemies that may try to block her way.

Dialogue choices

Using Brody's handheld radio, players can engage in dialogue exchanges with Colt, making choices that affect the course of the conversation and shape an individual narrative experience.
